2001 Annual Review

The Press Complaints Commission deals with complaints from members of the public about possible breaches of the newspaper and magazine Code of Practice.

The PCC was established with the aim of seeking amicably and swiftly to resolve every complaint it receives. In that task the Commission is increasingly successful: in 2001 it resolved more complaints than ever before - and in record time.

Central to the work of the PCC are the protection of the vulnerable and the provision of a first class service to ordinary members of the public. This Review sets out how the PCC matched up to those - and other - key aims.

The PCC seeks to be as accessible as possible. More information about the work of the Commission is available direct from its office or by logging on to the PCC's website, www.pcc.org.uk
