Complainant Name:
Lord Donoughue

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Daily Mail

Lord Donoughue of Ashton complained that an article about his involvement with Robert Maxwell contained numerous inaccuracies.

The newspaper published a letter from the complainant making clear that he was not aware at the time of his employment in one of Robert Maxwell's companies of any illegal activities and was not in a position to "blow the whistle". A statement was appended from the newspaper that they stood by the thrust of their article but were happy to give the complainant the opportunity to set the record straight on these points.
