Complaint:
Professor Hilary Rose of London complained that the newspaper had published a letter that, amid criticism of her stance in the debate over the Middle East, referred to her and her partner as ‘kapos’. She considered that such ‘hate speech’ was not acceptable.

Resolution:
The newspaper published a full letter of response from the complainant, in which she made clear her view on the use of such language.
