Publication: The Sunday Times

The Right Honourable Sir John Wheeler of London complained that an article was inaccurate when it named him as part of Lloyds 2000 Index and implied that he would have substantial sums to pay. In fact, the complainant ceased to be an underwriting name in 1998.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published a clarification on the matter, removed all references to the complainant in its records and agreed to pay his legal costs.
