Complaint:
Mr E Doxford of Harrogate complained that an article was inaccurate when it stated that a convicted criminal would become eligible for parole two-thirds of the way into his sentence. The complainant indicated that prisoners with long sentences are entitled to apply for parole after half the term has been served.

Resolution:
The complaint was resolved when the newspaper wrote to the complainant with an apology and thanked him for pointing out the error.
