Mr E Doxford of Harrogate complained that an article was inaccurate when it stated that a convicted criminal would become eligible for parole two-thirds of the way into his sentence. The complainant indicated that prisoners with long sentences are entitled to apply for parole after half the term has been served.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper wrote to the complainant with an apology and thanked him for pointing out the error.
