Mr Peter Webb of Sunderland complained that an article was inaccurate in its description of a man, who had been taken to a mental hospital against his will, as being caged.

The matter was resolved when the editor acknowledged that the headline was inaccurate and insensitive. He indicated that he had spoken to the sub-editor concerned and the Chief Sub-editor and had issued PCC guidance on the subject to his journalists.
