Mrs Kay Stembridge of Edinburgh complained that the magazine had published an inaccurate article on the subject of how blood transfusion had saved the life of her son. She complained that she had not said many of the quotations, or felt the emotions, attributed to her in the piece.

The complaint was resolved when the magazine which had obtained the copy from a freelance source accepted that the article contained inaccuracies, sent a personal apology to the complainant and made a donation to the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.
