Complaint:
Malcolm Dickson, the Deputy Chief Constable of Lothian and Borders Police, complained on behalf of two officers, Sgt Audrey Fry and PC Lee Cockburn. He complained that an article intruded into the privacy of the officers, that it was inaccurate and that it discriminated against them on the grounds of their sexuality. He also complained that the officers had been harassed by journalists from the newspaper.

Resolution:
The matter was resolved when the newspaper published an apology to the two officers and corrected the central point of inaccuracy.
