Complainant Name:
Mr Leonard Pearce

Clauses Noted: 3

Publication: Scottish Daily Mirror

Mr Leonard Pearce of Fife complained that he had been named in an article after he had explicitly asked that he was not identified.

The complaint was resolved when the editor wrote a private letter of apology to the complainant giving an undertaking that he would take the matter up personally with the news agency concerned. The complainant accepted this as a means of resolving his complaint but made clear that he remained unhappy with the newspapers conduct.
