A former Scottish footballer complained that the newspaper had identified him in connection with an article about the trial of his daughter for fraud.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper, which accepted that it had acted in breach of Clause 9 (Reporting of crime) of the Code, undertook not to repeat the identification of the complainant and offered to write a personal letter of apology to the family.
