Complainant Name:
Shaun Woodward MP

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Daily Mail

Mr Shaun Woodward MP complained that the newspaper had published an article following his appointment as Minister for Northern Ireland containing several inaccuracies, including about his home and family. He was concerned that the manner in which the newspaper reported matters involving him was having a detrimental effect on his children. The complainant also raised further concerns about the manner in which the newspaper had subsequently sought to question his friends about his family life.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper undertook to annotate its records with details of the complaint, including all the points of factual inaccuracy he had raised and his more general concerns about the newspapers treatment of him.
