Mr Marc Cranfield-Adams of Richmond upon Thames complained that another readers letter was inaccurate when it made the following statements in specific reference to him: that his ethics were questionable; that they used to be friends; that he supported the authors charities; and that he was angry and embittered. He further disputed the authors claim that a sex shop on Kew Road was out of sight.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published a follow-up letter from the complainant addressing the points he had raised.
