Mr Stephen Bell of Cheshire complained, on behalf of Mr and Mrs Cleverley, that the headline to an article, on the subject of the tragic death of their daughter, was insensitive and wrongly focussed attention on them as parents.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper, which accepted that insufficient thought had gone into the headline, apologised to the parents for the unintended offence, and amended the wording of the headline on its website.
