Mr Alan Sproat of Edinburgh complained that an article inaccurately reported that, during a road rage incident, he had deliberately let go of his car door on another man breaking his leg.

The complaint was resolved when the magazine published the following apology to the complainant:

Further to an article headlined Compensation ordered after road rage driver broke mans leg about an incident involving taxi driver Alan Sproat, we have been made aware of the following points: that the incident resulted in a fractured ankle, rather than a broken leg; and that Mr Sproat was not found to have deliberately let go of the car door. We apologise for any confusion caused by our original article.
