Publication: Swindon Advertiser

Andrew Hornsey of Swindon complained that an article reporting the car accident in which he was involved contained inaccuracies and he had not been given the opportunity to reply.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper accepted that there had been failings in the way it had initially dealt with the complaint. The complaint was resolved when the editor wrote a private letter of apology to the complainant and undertook to publish a follow-up article at his convenience, which would also allow him to set out his side of the accident.
