Complaint:

Mrs Joanna Rhodes of Cornwall complained that an article reporting her husband’s death had inaccurately suggested that he had committed suicide the day after seeing their baby’s scan. The complainant provided a dated copy of the scan to support her position on the matter.

Resolution:

The newspaper apologised to the complainant explaining that the factual inaccuracy had originated with the report sent to the inquest by the news agency concerned. The matter was resolved privately.
