A man

Publication: Daily Mirror

A man complained that an article had inaccurately reported on a protest he had made during a church service to mark the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery. He had not, he said, burst into the aisle; nor had he run to the front of the church. Moreover, it was inaccurate to describe him as a long-standing campaigner for slave trade reparations.

The newspaper maintained that its description of the complainants protest was accurate. However, it agreed to remove the reference to the complainant being a long-standing campaigner for slave trade reparations from its website.
