Complainant Name:
A woman

Clauses Noted: 1, 3

Publication: Sunday Express

A woman complained that an article about her ex-husband a drug addict had contained inaccuracies and had intruded to her private life, and that of her son. The complainant said that her ex-husbands implication that she had not stood by him was false. She was also concerned over the publication of photographs, one of which had incorrectly claimed to depict her son.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper removed the article from its website, annotated its internal records with the points of the complaint and circulated a warning to all journalists in the group. These measures prevented republication of the photographs and content of the article.
