Okeimute Emuobosa complained through Ross Solmon & Co. solicitors about an article which inaccurately explained his three month ban from working as a solicitor as due to his having covered up his colleagues theft.

The newspaper agreed to publish the following correction on the point which satisfactorily resolved the matter:

Contrary to our article published on 12 December, 2007 headlined 'Theft cover-up solicitor banned', the Solicitor Disciplinary Tribunal did not find Mr Okeimute Emuobosa guilty of having 'covered up' his employers theft. Although Mr Emuobosa was found guilty of a breach of accounting rules, the tribunal gave Mr Emuobosa credit for reporting and exposing the theft. We are happy to set the record straight.
