Complaint:

Ms Sharon Hulme of Exeter complained that an article which reported the tragic death of her sister, Jayne, contained a number of inaccuracies and had intruded into her family’s grief.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper – which had published a follow-up article seeking to clarify any misleading impression given by the original piece – removed the initial article from its website and sent a private letter of apology to the complainant.
