The General Chiropractic Council complained that an article had inaccurately claimed that a medical research paper had found that going to a chiropractor to treat back pain could be a waste of time. The complainant made clear that the study had not referred to chiropractic at all.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published the following clarification:

An article on a medical research paper published on November 9 last year wrongly reported that chiropractors are a waste of time. In fact, the study, by the University of Sydney, made no mention of chiropractors.
