Complaint:

Mrs Serena Lancaster complained on behalf of her daughter Frankie Lytton-Cobbold that an article intruded into the latter’s privacy by referring to a previous story in another newspaper which reported an affair she had had.

Resolution:

The newspaper said it had not been aware of the earlier story – which had been the subject of a successful complaint to the PCC – and explained that as soon as it became aware of concerns about its own piece it had removed it from its website. It expressed regret for the upset caused by its report.
