Mrs Pamela Hawken of Twickenham complained that an article about outfits for weddings in You Magazine had pictured a dress for the mother of the bride that it emerged when she contacted the clothing company in question had never been made. The complainant was very disappointed, as she had been interested in buying the dress for her sons wedding.


The newspaper explained that the clothing company had provided a sample dress to be photographed, but had later decided not to proceed with production. The Managing Editor apologised that the complainant had been inconvenienced and offered to send her vouchers for free copies of the newspaper. The complainant accepted the newspapers apology and explanation as a resolution to her complaint.
