Complainant Name:
Mr James Morgan

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Scottish Daily Mail

Mr James Morgan of Peterhead complained that an article about his health was inaccurate and misleading when it stated that his wife, after searching on the internet, had found the surgeon who would go on to perform a successful life-saving operation on him. In fact, the complainant said that the Liver Transplant Team at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary had found the surgeon after two had refused to carry out the surgery and the couple did not wish to take the credit for the discovery.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published a follow-up article on the matter following an interview with the complainant and made a donation to the Aberdeen Liver Fund.
