Ms Nicole Cutler, a former dancer on televisions Strictly Come Dancing, complained that the newspaper had published an inaccurate account of an interview it had done with her. She particular objected to the suggestion that she had criticised the programme and its presenters.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper removed the article from its website, undertook not to repeat the claims and published the following apology:

On 24 August 2008, we published an article about Nicole Cutler, a former dancer on Strictly Come Dancing. We have been asked to clarify that she did not seek to criticize the show itself and did not call Bruce Forsyth "doddery" or Tess Daley "aloof". Nicole was proud to work for the BBC on Strictly Come Dancing and hopes to do so again in the future. We are pleased to take this opportunity to set the record straight and apologise to Ms Cutler for any distress our article has caused her or her colleagues.
