Complainant Name:
Chris Denning

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: The Sun

Chris Denning complained that an article which reported that he had been imprisoned for producing child pornography in Slovakia had been inaccurate and misleading when it claimed that one of the victims had been 12 years old at the time of filming. In fact, none of the individuals concerned was under 17.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published the following letter from the complainant:

Further to your report about my conviction (October 9) I would like to make clear the minimum age of those involved was 17 and not 12 as you reported.

Report: 79
