No Outsiders, a human rights project in which the participants used age-appropriate resources and activities to challenge homophobia and promote respect, complained that the headline to an article about the projects work had referred inaccurately to outrage at gay sex lessons for kids. The project did not advocate teaching children gay sex.

The complaint was resolved by the publication of the following statement:

No Outsiders

On 17 September 2008, we published an article about the No Outsiders research project. Our article implied that the project involved teaching gay sex to children.

We would like to clarify that the No Outsiders research project was not a sex education project, but instead supports existing legislation and guidance, which aims to prevent bullying and promote social inclusion.
