Complaint:

Following the Press Complaints Commission’s adjudication against the Evening Standard, The Camp for Climate Action complained that an article about the 2007 August camp at Heathrow had referred misleadingly to fears that protesters could be planning hoax bombs and assaults on the airport’s security fence.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper attached the following clarification – and a link to the Commission’s ruling on the Evening Standard coverage – to the online version of the article:

The Camp for Climate Action would like to point out that they had no plans to plant hoax bombs or assault the security fence.
