Complainant Name:
Ms Heather Mills

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Daily Express

Heather Mills complained that the newspaper published a story that inaccurately claimed that her personal trainer had moved into one of her houses, with the erroneous implication that she had fallen in love with him.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper removed the article from its website, undertook not to repeat the claim, and published the following apology:

In our article "Bodyguard obsession' on 3 June we said that Heather Mills had fallen in love with her personal trainer Ben Amigioni and that he had moved into her home. We accept that this is not true and would like to apologise to Ms Mills for any embarrassment our error may have caused.
