Mr Michael Barnbrook of Bexleyheath complained that the newspaper had inaccurately reported claims by a Labour activist that BNP supporters leaving a polling station had shouted racist slogans, when police inquiries had subsequently revealed that the activist had not categorically identified the individuals as voters or as BNP members.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper agreed to update its article so that the phrase BNP supporters was replaced by a group of people who walked out of the building where the polling station was sited, holding what she believed to be a BNP leaflet.
