Mr Gurpreet Jauhal, Chairman of the Falun Gong Association (UK), complained that an article about support for the practice in China contained embedded Chinese communist propaganda, in addition to the inaccurate claim that Falun Gong involved traditional Chinese breathing exercises. In fact, the complainant explained that the practice was related to Qigong, a type of Chinese yoga.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper replaced the words "traditional Chinese breathing exercises" with "Chinese yoga" in the online version of the article.
