Mr John Hill

Mr John Hill complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had inaccurately reported that his son, Jonathan Hill, had been accused of raping seven women throughout Suffolk. In fact, he was accused of seven counts of rape against two women.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated publication of the following statement:

We reported that Jonathan Hill was accused of raping seven women "throughout Suffolk". In fact, the charges relate to seven counts of rape against two women, and were not throughout Suffolk. We apologise for the inaccurate and misleading report, and for any distress caused.
