Complainant Name:
Mr James Frankcom

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: The Sun

Complaint:

Mr James Frankcom complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had incorrectly implied that two thirds of Haitians drank goats' blood and danced to drums whilst practising voodoo.

Resolution:

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication of the following correction in the newspaper:

Voodoo

Blood

In an article on February 3, we implied two thirds of Haitians drank goats' blood while practising voodoo. We are happy to make clear this is not the case.
