Angela Browning MP complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had not corrected online an article's reference to an expenses claim by her that it had recognised was inaccurate shortly after publication.

The matter was resolved when the newspaper removed the relevant sentence from the article online and appended the following note:

This story has been amended. The original version said Angela Browning MP claimed an average of £42 per day in expenses for food around Christmas 2007-08. This was based on a redacted copy of the expense claim form. The unredacted form shows that the claim was made for payment of rent and a letting fee.
