Duncan McGraw complained to the Press Complaints Commission on behalf of FirstGroup PLC that the newspaper had failed to take care not to publish inaccurate information in an article reporting a claim that one of the company's bus drivers had refused entry to a child because he was wearing a replica England football shirt. The company's investigations had shown that the incident had not occurred.

The newspaper offered to publish a follow-up article making clear the outcome of the company's investigation, but in the event the matter was resolved with the removal of the original article from the newspaper's website.
