Mr Avraham Dresner complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published a caption beneath a photograph on its website which falsely stated that Israel had cut a tree which grew on the Lebanese side of the border between the countries.

The newspaper considered that the issue regarding the positioning of the border between the countries was a matter of contention on which a range of views were held, and, as such, it did not consider that the newspaper's position was inaccurate. However, the matter was resolved when the newspaper altered the caption to read:

"Israeli soldiers use a crane as they cut a tree on the border near the village of Adaisseh"
