Complainant Name:
Mr Geoffrey Castle

Clauses Noted: 3

Publication: Daily Mail

Mr Geoffrey Castle complained to the Press Complaints Commission that an article had published his daughter's holiday photo and named her without her consent, which he considered to be an invasion of her privacy.

While the newspaper did not accept that the article was in breach of Clause 3, the complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the name and photograph of the complainant's daughter from the online version of the article.
