Complainant Name:
Mr Lyndon Fuller

Clauses Noted: 1

Publication: Beverley Guardian

Mr Lyndon Fuller complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper's report of his court proceedings contained a number of inaccuracies. In particular, he said that the headline ‘Ex-cop escapes second jail term for fraud' was misleading as he had faced charges for minor copyright infringement, which were unlikely to result in a custodial sentence.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated a private letter of apology for the complainant.
