Vicki Sharp complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published print and online court reports detailing her father's conviction for aiding and abetting fraudulent trading which contained a number of errors.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper arranged for the following correction and apology to appear in the newspaper and alongside the online article:

Our court report "Esher man jailed for Olympic ticket scam" wrongly stated that Allan Schaverien was convicted for the same crime as Terrence Shepherd and Alan Scott. In fact, Mr Schaverien was charged with aiding and abetting fraudulent trading. We would also like to make clear that Mr Shaverien did not own ticketing company Xclusive and did not pocket any money as a direct result of fraudulent ticket sales made by the business. We apologise for these errors.
