Ms Cristina Santos RPSI complained to the Press Complaints Commission under Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code that the newspaper had published inaccurate information about the pay of court interpreters.

The matter was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication of the following correction:

Court interpreters

A recent article (Aug 6) reported a judge's comment that court interpreters earn 85 an hour. In fact, 85 is the minimum weekday daily rate for three hours' work, after which the rate of pay is 30 an hour. We are happy to make this clear.
