Ms Cristina Santos RPSI complained to the Press Complaints Commission under Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code that the newspaper had published inaccurate information about the pay of court interpreters.

The matter was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication of the following correction:

Court interpreters

A recent article (Aug 6) reported a judge's comment that court interpreters earn £85 an hour. In fact, £85 is the minimum weekday daily rate for three hours' work, after which the rate of pay is £30 an hour. We are happy to make this clear.
