Mark Robertson complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published inaccurate and misleading information in an article about the outcome of a General Teaching Council (Scotland) disciplinary hearing involving him in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code.


The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated amendments to the article online to clarify the nature of the charges against the complainant and the publication of the following text at the foot of the article:

Update: The article above originally said that Robertson had been "banned from the classroom for life". In fact, Robertson can reapply to join the register after a year.
