Complainant Name:
Ms Holli Shelley

Clauses Noted: 1, 12

Publication: The Sun

Holli Shelley complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper was continuing to publish a historical article on its website which, although accurate at the time, was - in her view - now inaccurate due to changed circumstances. The complainant was also concerned that the article could lead to discriminatory behaviour.

While no breach of the Code was accepted, the newspaper made clear it had no wish to cause difficulties for the complainant and arranged for the article to be deleted from its website. The complaint was resolved on that basis.
