Complainant Name:
A man

Clauses Noted: 1, 4

Publication: Croydon Advertiser

A man complained about two articles which reported that he had avoided a prison sentence despite having 4,000 indecent images on his computer. The complainant was concerned that the article referred to him as a ‘pervert' who had ‘downloaded a sickening haul of thousands of child sex pictures'. He explained that none of the images had been retained on his computer. He was also concerned that a photographer had continued to take photographs of him and his outside the court despite his having asked that he desist.

The matter was resolved when the editor agreed to meet with the complainant to discuss his concerns.
