Complainant Name:
Mrs Caroline Panesar

Clauses Noted: 1, 3, 6

Publication: Daily Mail

Mrs Caroline Panesar complained to the Press Complaints Commission under Clauses 1 (Accuracy), 3 (Privacy) and 6 (Children) of the Editors' Code of Practice. She considered that the article, which reported the collapse of the family business, her husband's potential bankruptcy and an allegation against her husband for contempt of court, contained various inaccuracies, unnecessarily focused on her daughter and had intruded into her son's time at school.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the removal of the online article.
