Mr Gary Benardout complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had falsely claimed that his company, "Advantage HGV", had illegally claimed membership of the Road Haulage Association in order to dupe customers.

The complaint was resolved when the Press Complaints Commission negotiated the publication of the following clarification in print and online:

Our article on 3 May 2012 said that Advantage HGV, the trading name of Specialised Training Services Limited and before them Advantage Training Services Limited, had used the logo of the Road Haulage Association (RHA) despite the RHA having told us that they weren't members. Unfortunately the RHA gave us incorrect information and we are happy to confirm that Advantage HGV is a member of RHA".
