A woman complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article reporting on the circumstances and death of a 12-year old boy with a terminal illness which contained inaccuracies in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper explained where the information in the article had come from, and offered to run a clarification and to place a note on its files concerning the inaccurate information.
