Ms Lauren Reilly complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an article reporting on a car crash in which her sister was killed which contained inaccuracies, in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication of the following clarification:

An article on July 20 reported that Ms Lauren Reilly allowed Jamie Murray, a man who killed her sister in a car crash, to confide in her following the incident. Ms Reilly has asked us to make clear that she did not say this.
