Miss Sunnie De Pass complained to the Press Complaints Commission that an article reporting on the launch of her new album had misleadingly used a photograph of her with two other artists, known as the Suburban Pirates, with whom she had not worked for 18 months. The complainant was concerned that this created the impression that the album had been produced in conjunction with the Suburban Pirates, when in fact it had not.

The complaint was resolved following the publication of a clarification by the newspaper. This was published before the involvement of the Press Complaints Commission, and read:

No Pirates on Sunnie Dae's album. Archway musician Sunnie Dae would like to point out that the Suburban Pirates are not connected to her new album celebrating Jamaican folk music. Miss Dae was pictured in last week's Gazette with the duo alongside a piece about the launch of Linstead Market, Dandy Shandy & Other Jamaican Folk Songs.
