A woman

Clauses Noted: 1, 3

Publication: Daily Mail

A woman complained to the Press Complaints Commission under Clause 1 (Accuracy) and Clause 3 (Privacy) of the Editors' Code of Practice that the newspaper had published private and inaccurate information about her.

While the newspaper did not accept that there had been any breach of the Code, the matter was resolved when, as a gesture of goodwill, it undertook not to republish certain information relating to the complainant's private life.
