Publication: Hampstead & Highgate Express

A man complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published details of a series of criminal allegations against him but, when the police decided that no charges would be brought, had failed to report this fact. He was concerned that readers would have been misled in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.

The complaint was resolved when the newspaper published a follow-up article which made clear that no further action was being taken by the CPS.
